History of the building
Opened in 1935, the functionalist Budova Elektrických podniků (designed by architects Adolf Benš and Josef Kříž), became the largest administration building of its time in Prague with total floor space of 34 000 m2. This architectural masterpiece boasts many progressive technical and structural solutions.
The building is currently owned by Orco Property Group, with the Vltavská Cultural Centre occupying the ground floor and underground premises of the building.
