Original Indigo is a band playing traditional jazz music in unconventional style, with innovative část of instruments and original czech lyrics. This style is called „plebby-jazz“. Plebby-jazz is a music played by jazz  plebeians to highly demanding audience, who would like to have a rest from his own high demands.

The group was founded in 1972, when five still young devotees (Václav Brzoň, Josef Čepička, Jan Novák, Josef Pavel and Vladimír Potůček) decided to play traditional music and with this great and fixed idea founded Original Indigo band.

The band invites special guests to their regular concerts – jazz friends, such as the singer Jitka Vrbová, Eva Martínková-Kaprasová, Eva Dostálová, Eva Emingerová, showman Tony Brych, musicians like Jaromír Kadlec (piano), Bob Zajíček (co), Petr Hasman (co), Jiří Sova (tb), Jaroslav Zelený (tb), Louis Konůpka (cl.ss), František Rubáš (cl,ss,bassax), Jan Čapek (bj), etc.

Regular concerts of Original Indigo band are held at KC Vltavská each first Wednesday in a month from 8pm in Elektra hall.
